I liked the modern renovated style, and the general condition of the hotel. It felt clean. Love the water self-serve stations on each floor, along with the customer essentials pantries next to them. The location is great - walking distance to several restaurants and bars. I found it interesting a previous review stated the hotel is not suited for leisure travelers, but that's pretty much all I saw when there. Lots of Europeans touring! The place is quiet and safe, and it’s a great deal for the price!

The service was definitely noteworthy! Talkative and informative, the friendly front desk helped us find new places to explore and made for great conversation. Valet was helpful, they held our luggage after check out with no problem or inconvenience. The place is so stylish and beautiful I couldn’t believe the pricing for our room for such an elegant hotel. Room pictured in hopper was exactly what we got! Pricing was super competitive, park and stay pricing was also very on par for other hotels, location was perfect!

Issac at the front desk was so great, sweet and helpful. We were leaving on our last day and peeked into the suite room and the housekeeper saw us and gave us a tour of the room she was working in. It was such a nice and real experience and I would not hesitate to stay at the Argonaut again and spend the extra for the beautiful suite. Bar was so cute and warm and had one of the best drinks of my life. Win win win!

Great location downtown steps from BART/Muni station providing excellent access to SFO and the entire Bay area. Room was clean and well kept. Mattress was good. Plenty (too many!) pillows. Glad I opted for the deluxe room, but shared bathroom option is great for budget/solo travelers and in-hall restrooms and shower room are kept very clean and lock safely. Rooms and hallways are clean. Staff is helpful and courteous but demure. Morning free coffee (but no snacks)
